[58] Dependent on a phenomenon (dhamma) with thought-conception and discursive thought (savitakkasavicāra) and on a phenomenon without thought-conception and without discursive thought (avitakka-avicāra), phenomena (dhammā) with thought-conception and discursive thought and phenomena without thought-conception and without discursive thought arise, by not-root condition (na-hetupaccaya).
At the moment of rootless rebirth-linking (ahetuka-paṭisandhikkhaṇa), dependent on one aggregate (khandha) with thought-conception and discursive thought and on the base (vatthu), three aggregates arise; dependent on two aggregates and on the base, two aggregates arise; dependent on the aggregates with thought-conception and discursive thought and on the primary elements (mahābhūta), materiality produced by kamma (kaṭattārūpa) arises.
Dependent on a phenomenon with thought-conception and discursive thought and on a phenomenon without thought-conception and without discursive thought, phenomena without thought-conception, with discursive thought only (avitakkavicāramatta), and phenomena without thought-conception and without discursive thought arise, by not-root condition.
At the moment of rootless rebirth-linking, dependent on the aggregates with thought-conception and discursive thought and on the base, thought-conception (vitakka) arises; dependent on the aggregates with thought-conception and discursive thought and on the primary elements, materiality produced by kamma arises.
Dependent on a phenomenon with thought-conception and discursive thought and on a phenomenon without thought-conception and without discursive thought, phenomena with thought-conception and discursive thought and phenomena without thought-conception, with discursive thought only, arise, by not-root condition.
