Paccanīyapaṭṭhāna

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Paṭṭhāna (2) · Vol. 41 · Section 59

[59] Dependent on a phenomenon (dhamma) with thought-conception and discursive thought and on a phenomenon without thought-conception and without discursive thought, phenomena with thought-conception and discursive thought, phenomena without thought-conception and with discursive thought only, and phenomena without thought-conception and without discursive thought arise by non-root condition (na-hetupaccaya). At the moment of rootless rebirth-linking (ahetuka-paṭisandhi), dependent on one aggregate with thought-conception and discursive thought and on the base (vatthu), three aggregates and thought-conception (vitakka) arise; dependent on two aggregates and on the base, two aggregates and thought-conception arise; dependent on the aggregates with thought-conception and discursive thought and on the primary elements (mahābhūta), kamma-born materiality (kaṭattārūpa) arises.
