Paccanīyapaṭṭhāna

[61] Dependent on a phenomenon (dhamma) that is without thought-conception and has discursive thought only (avitakka-vicāramatta) and one that is without thought-conception and without discursive thought (avitakka-avicāra), there arise phenomena that are with thought-conception and with discursive thought (savitakka-savicāra) and that are without thought-conception and without discursive thought — not by root condition (na hetupaccayā). At the moment of rootless rebirth-linking (ahetuka-paṭisandhikkhaṇa): dependent on thought-conception (vitakka) and the base (vatthu), aggregates that are with thought-conception and with discursive thought arise; dependent on thought-conception and the great primary elements (mahābhūtā), kamma-born materiality (kaṭattārūpa) arises.
