[135] Bhikkhus, an act of reconciliation (paṭisāraṇīyakamma) possessed of three factors is an act not in accordance with the Dhamma, an act not in accordance with the Vinaya, and one that is badly settled: it is done not face to face; it is done without interrogation; it is done without the acknowledgment [of the one charged].
