[306] Bhikkhus, the Saṅgha, if it wishes, may impose an act of suspension (ukkhepanīyakamma) for not relinquishing an evil view upon three [kinds of] bhikkhus: one is a maker of strife, a maker of quarrels, a maker of disputes, a maker of contentious talk, a maker of legal issues (adhikaraṇa) in the Saṅgha; one is foolish, incompetent, full of offenses, and heedless of their limits (anapadāna); one lives in company with householders, in unbecoming associations with householders. Bhikkhus, the Saṅgha, if it wishes, may impose an act of suspension for not relinquishing an evil view upon these three bhikkhus.
